We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to be part of an engineering team that builds and maintains our recommendation engine. This engine is the core for personalized listening experiences of fans and listeners in 190 countries, assembled out of more than 300 million tracks of over 30 million creators.

Together with your team you are responsible for architecting, building, modernizing and running the algorithmic engine end-to-end. With your strong background in ML Engineering and MLOps, you will strengthen the team in providing highly scalable solutions based on state of the art ML Engineering and MLOps practices.


About the role:

• Be part of a team that owns the full scope of our recommendation engine end-to-end

• Establish best practices around ML Engineering and MLOps that foster fast iteration cycles and solutions that are highly successful with our users

• Drive the modernization of our current stack on cloud frameworks and by using Google Cloud AI and machine learning services

• Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to integrate the recommendations engine with a holistic, personalized discovery experience

• Be an active member of our data and ML community; drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across team and department boundaries

About You

• You have a strong background in Machine Learning Engineering and MLOps and are familiar with state-of-the art ML libraries and platforms (e.g. TensorFlow)

• You have a deep understanding of good practices in software engineering (pair programming, testing, clean code, etc.)

• You are experienced in building ML solutions using cloud infrastructures and services (e.g. AI Platform Pipelines, DataFlow)

• You are familiar with infrastructure as code and have worked with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Argo

• You understand the workflow and life cycle of machine learning and are familiar with platforms for end-to-end production ML pipelines (e.g. TFX, MLFlow, Sagemaker)

• You can prove strong hands-on experience with Python (and ideally Scala)

• You can apply DevOps principles to Machine Learning solutions

• You seek impact and outcome, drive innovation and apply agile best practices
